A suggestion was given by Tim Sherwood to Erik Ten Hag. He believes that the Manchester United manager should continue to play Hannibal Mejbri in the Red Devils' midfield.
As is known, MU is being hit by a storm of injuries, one of which is in their midfield. Because of this situation, Ten Hag decided to promote Hannibal Mejbri to the Red Devils squad.
The Tunisian national team midfielder answered Ten Hag's trust well. In the match against Burnley at the weekend, he showed a very impressive performance for 90 minutes at Turf Moor.
Sherwood admitted that he was impressed by Mejbri's game. "I think Hannibal put in a good performance in that match [vs Burnley]," Sherwood told Premier League Production.
Sherwood said there was one thing he really liked about Mejbri in the match against Burnley yesterday.
He assessed that the midfielder worked hard from the start of the match to the end, where he continued to chase the ball.
"He is very brave, and always tries to look for the ball. When his team loses the ball, he has a strong determination to win the ball back from the opponent's feet."
Sherwood himself hopes that Erik Ten Hag can continue to give the midfielder the opportunity to play in the MU first team. He believes that if Hannibal continues to get playing time, his development will be even more rapid.
"I'm sure he will get better over time. So I hope he can continue to be involved in this team," continued Sherwood.
"He deserves to be given the opportunity to play rather than MU's star players who are currently injured. So when these players return, Hannibal should still be given the opportunity to play," he emphasized.
According to rumors circulating, Hannibal will most likely be involved in MU's first team in the early hours of the morning.
He is predicted to start in the Red Devils' midfield when they face Crystal Palace in the 2023/2024 Carabao Cup.
